Fading Light: Build 4


Fading Light's 4th major build (2nd publicly uploaded) is out! This one is relatively light, since a lot of stuff happened behind the scenes that isn't visible to the end user. Read about some of my thoughts regarding this update on my dev blog!

The next update may take a while, as I would like to shift focus to other projects for the time being, but Fading Light is not necessarily dead, just on the back-burner. :)

==== NEW CONTENT ====

+ Added the Buzzsaw Tower.

+ Added a hotkey reference to the Options Menu in a level.

==== GAMEPLAY ====

+ Adjusted the terrain of the following maps: Roundabout, Switchback Lake

+ Wisp's base mana yield reduced to 0 (down from 5).

+ Wisp has gained the following ability: Absorption: Mana yield increased by +2 for each tower the Wisp passes by, up to a maximum of +10.

+ Wisp's maximum health increased to 100 (up from 70).

+ Frostbite Tower's aura radius increased to 3 (up from 2).

+ Frostbite Tower's budget cost increased to 80 (up from 70).

+ Flamethrower Tower's initial damage reduced to 15 (down from 20).

+ Flamethrower Tower's flame patch duration increased to 3.25 seconds (up from 2.5).

+ Flamethrower Tower's flame patch damage increased to 20 per second (up from 16).

+ Flamethrower Tower's cooldown between shots increased to 2 seconds up from 1.5).

+ Flamethrower Tower's max ammo increased to 4 (up from 3).

+ Flamethrower Tower's ammo regen interval increased to 4 seconds (up from 3).

==== GRAPHICS & AUDIO ====

+ Adjusted the appearance of the main menu, with extra text for clarity on difficulty settings.

+ Added volume sliders to the main menu.

+ Added more information to the How To Play slate on the main menu.

+ Added idle animations for the following towers: Arrow Tower, Arclight Tower, Cannon Tower, Flamethrower Tower.

+ Towers' ammo bars have been replaced with a display of ammo pips showing the precise amount of ammo each tower has, as well as the approximate regeneration rate.

+ Towers now show you their current target when moused over, indicated by a red line.

==== BUG FIXES ====

+ Fixed an issue causing the tower building AI to clump towers together more than was intended.

+ The Reset Camera button in the Options Menu now works correctly.

+ Volume sliders will now correctly initialize when loading into a scene (if you lowered the volume during a match, return to the main menu, then start a new a match, the volume sliders will remember your settings).
